Measurement
We believe that the perfect fit is the key to showcasing the elegance of our designs and your persona. That’s why all our outfits are made to measure, promising a silhouette that complements your form impeccably.
Measuring yourself accurately is crucial for ensuring a perfect fit when ordering a made-to-measure Indian outfit. Follow these steps carefully to get precise measurements:
- Gather Necessary Tools:
- A flexible measuring tape
- A full-length mirror (optional but helpful)
- Wear form-fitting clothing or undergarments to ensure accurate measurements.
- Wear Proper Attire:
- Stand barefoot or in socks for accurate height measurement.
- Wear clothing that doesn’t add bulk or alter your natural body shape.
- Start with Height:
- Stand against a flat surface, such as a wall, with your back straight and heels together.
- Have someone place a flat object, like a book or ruler, on top of your head parallel to the floor.
- Mark the point where the object touches the wall and measure from the floor to that point. This is your height.
- Take Chest/Bust Measurements:
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest or bust, ensuring it’s parallel to the ground and snug but not tight.
- Keep your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Record the measurement.
- Measure Waist:
- Locate the narrowest part of your waist, typically above your belly button and below your rib cage.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your waist, making sure it’s snug but not too tight.
- Record the measurement.
- Determine Hip Circumference:
- Stand with your feet together.
- Locate the fullest part of your hips, usually around the widest point of your buttocks.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your hips, ensuring it’s parallel to the ground and not too tight.
- Record the measurement.
- Measure Shoulder Width:
- Stand with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Find the bony points at the top of each shoulder.
- Measure across your back from one shoulder bone to the other, ensuring the tape is straight and parallel to the ground.
- Record the measurement.
- Take Sleeve Length:
- Extend one arm out to your side at a 90-degree angle.
- Measure from the prominent bone at the base of your neck (where your spine meets your shoulders) to the point where you want the sleeve to end, typically the wrist bone.
- Record the measurement for both arms.
- Please be aware that for certain intricate or specific Indian outfits, there may be additional measurements required beyond the standard ones outlined in our measuring guide. These additional measurements could vary based on the complexity of the design, style preferences, or specific customization requests.
- Our expert tailors and designers may request supplementary measurements to ensure the utmost precision and perfect fit of your chosen outfit. These additional measurements may encompass details such as neckline depth, sleeve style, back design intricacies, or any other unique features integral to the selected outfit.
